If you compare this card to yesterday's promo card, also from 1982, Clutch Cargo's had bigger acts than Bookie's. Even when they were downtown CC's had a bigger venue. i had a good time at that Dead Kennedys show.

That building where Clutch Cargo's was, is the Detroit Women's City Club, an historic building in Foxtown. It was built in 1923 by William Buck Stratton, with tiles by his wife Mary Chase Stratton (Pewabic). It was also the first home of the "City Club" venue, i think. i saw Pete Shelley there, as well. It's way nicer than the place in Poniac, or at least more fun!
