Thanks so much for the kind cards, flowers, emails and such. i've been quiet because things are okay as long as i just hunker down. The cats miss Jim, too, so we all huddle in front of the TV and watch the old Smallville episodes he got me last Christmas. There has been much paperwork, taking care of my father, and trips out with friends who are looking out for me. Saw Art School Confidential (a riot), A Prairie Home Companion (a perfect film for me this year), and Nacho Libre (only if you're a JB, Jared Hess, or Lucha Libre fanatic; i'm all three). Also, there is a new addition to the BJD family.
Meet Bero, (but he's still Ned, as he was before, in this outfit!), a Hypermaniac Na-Hu. When you meet him you believe he can control eclipses - not that it's top on my list of super abilities... perhaps that explains his slightly grumpy demeanor. He arrived with these Dollheart Earl duds, cool wig, and incredible Japanese 'demon' eyes. i haven't had time and light to get many pictures, but below are two taken in the yard with Amaia. i have neither the space, time or money for a big collection of dolls, and i've been choosing carefully. i'm planning to sew a Clea costume for Izarra, but have yet to find a ball jointed doll suitable for Dr. Strange cosplay. A few have acceptable sculpts, but i've yet to see decent facial hair modded on a 60cm+ doll. i may have to figure it out for myself, and will put it off until Izarra has her outfit, at least. Stephen Strange could perhaps be a Tensiya Dollshe Saint, but i'm not ready now to do the work to make it so. With Bero i saw a good match visually and conceptually with my girls, and a rare chance to have a Hyperdoll. He's not Doc, but he is a Mage, and every bit as freaky as they are!
